Julie Demers est une écrivaine québécoise née en 1987. Elle a vu le jour à Québec, a grandi à Drummondville et vit maintenant à Montréal.
Son premier roman, Barbe, a été nominé au Prix du CALQ de la relève à Montréal, au Festival du premier roman de Chambéry (France), au Grand Prix Littéraire Archambault et à la Biennale littéraire des Cèdres.
Elle publie dans divers magazines culturels, dont Séquences.

Julie Demers was born in Quebec City in 1987, grew up in Drummondville, and now lives in Montreal.
The French edition of her first novel, Little Beast, was nominated for the Prix CALQ, the Chambéry First Novel Festival in France, the Grand Prix Littéraire Archambault, and was part of the Biennale Littéraire des Cèdres.

A film studies graduate, she heads up workshops across Canada on Quebec cinema, and her work has appeared in many culture magazines.
